Christina trained in Germany as a Physiotherapist in the 1980’s. She then became more interested in the power of the mind and trained with the American David Quigley in Alchemical Hypnotherapy, which has an emphasis on the Inner Child. Over the years she expanded her trainings and became a Hypnobirthing practitioner and Reflexologist. She continued to increase her understanding and knowledge in PPN. In the early 1990’s, when she was living in a community in France, David Chamberlain came and stayed with them, giving them a day of his time to share his knowledge with them.
Christina has enjoyed living in Australia for the past nearly 9 years and is now working more with pregnant couples by teaching them HypnoBirthing Child Birth Education Classes, and offers relaxation classes and maternity reflexology to pregnant mamas. She also sees clients in one-on-one sessions for Hypnotherapy and Counseling. Recently she started to offer a 1-day workshop to healthcare professionals and midwives, teaching them how to support couples using Hypnobirthing techniques during their births. She would like to teach professionals supporting expectant and new parents what she’s learned in the PPNE course and get continuing education credits for them to make it accessible for more professionals. Ideally in the future, she would like to also offer workshops for parents before conception.
Christina loved the PPNE program and it has really inspired her to go deeper with the people in her community who need the information. She’s bringing together what she’s always wanted to do from the beginning: reflexology, hypnotherapy, hypnobirthing and relaxation. She loves to connect people to their own resources and their own power. And even more, she loves helping expectant parents to connect with their baby. She says there is usually already awareness there and mothers are usually connected with their babies in ways they don’t necessarily have words for. As she validates the mother’s knowing, the bond strengthens and the mother’s intuition and connection with the baby grows. Christina shares that the baby is already forming belief systems and the brain is developing. The baby can be formed in a positive creative way, or not. When mothers understand that, they’re empowered.
Through the feedback she gets in her work with individuals and parents-to-be, she feels that people are really gaining something. She loves watching things click for her clients. Recently a midwife wrote her a text to say how happy people are with her services and that they are having life-changing experiences! It makes it all worthwhile to hear that!
Because she’s done her own inner child work, she knows how important this growth is for herself and her clients. She’s not the same person she once was. She can see how much everything is connected from the past to what is happening in this moment. And there’s a spiritual dimension to it all, as well. It all comes together as a deep understanding of development of both the baby and the parents. Christina is doing her part to change the world, one family at a time.
